Marie’s 2024
For me, 2024 was a transformative year filled with self-discovery, challenges, and moments of connection. It was a time of exploring new ways to heal and diving deep into old wounds, from religious trauma to eating disorder struggles. This journey wasn’t easy, but it was marked by breakthroughs in self-awareness and embodiment.
My relationships played a pivotal role this year. Stronger bonds were formed with friends and family, marked by honesty, growth, and even difficult conversations. There was also plenty of joy and exploration—planting basil, hiking noise-pollution free trails, taking improv classes, and getting lost in incredible movies and shows like Poor Things and Somebody Somewhere.
It wasn’t just about external experiences; this year brought a deeper understanding of the self. Whether it was learning to sit with emotions, processing existential fears, or finding moments of calm amidst life’s chaos, there was a growing sense of presence and acceptance.
As 2025 approaches, the focus shifts to building strength—physically, emotionally, and mentally—while embracing the wild, untamed aspects of life. The year ahead holds promises of curiosity, courage, and continuing the journey toward wholeness.
